One of the biggest problems faced by both teachers and students in Exam Preparation classes is the Writing Paper. For most candidates, this part of the exam is consistently the most difficult to prepare for, not only due to the rather vague marking criteria, but also because there are so many possible questions that could be asked that candidates worry about which ones to prepare.
Beyond that, there is the ever-present concern about how to actually answer the task in a way that will satisfy the exam requirements.
In this seminar, all these concerns, and many more, will be examined in detail.
how to fulfill the Content requirements of the task in order to inform the ‘target reader’
how to satisfy Communicative Achievement criteria with regards to register and style
how to add structure and organization to writing to turn your ideas into a cohesive whole
appropriate language and vocabulary to satisfy requirements at B2, C1 and C2 levels
how to create suitable answers for all Cambridge writing tasks for FCE, CAE and CPE, including essays, articles, letters and reports
