Why did you choose the profession of a language teacher?

Helping and guiding others towards answers has been something I’ve enjoyed my whole life and I always wanted to travel and see different parts of the world. Teaching English seemed the best way to do that.

What is your favorite quotation and why?
“Believe you can and you’re halfway there.” Theodore Roosevelt. This is my favourite quote as I think that self-belief and determination are the true keys to success.

What is most interesting about teaching?
Being able to meet and get to know so many different kinds of people keeps teaching a fresh and rewarding experience.

Please tell us about your hometown. How does it compare to Moscow?
My hometown is a very small industrial town in the North-West of England called Accrington. Moscow is much larger and by far more exciting. If I had not lived in large cities before moving to Moscow, then the crowds of people would have been very intimidating.

The most interesting thing about teaching is that you are always learning and meeting new people. Everyday provides a different challenge!

I like the people that I have been fortunate enough to meet! I also enjoy the food and learning more about Modern Russia and its history.

Why did you choose the profession of a language teacher?

I wanted to start EFL Teaching many years ago; however, I kept working in my old profession. I decided that it would be a good career for me to try and develop as an EFL Teacher. And I am glad that I did!

Do you like Moscow? Have you visited any Russian cities besides Moscow?

I do like Moscow and I would like to discover more about the city. It is the only Russian city that I have visited.

Edinburg is the capital city of Scotland. It is a small city; however, it has a lot of character and history. Moscow is a large city but I believe it also has a lot of character and history.

Which countries you’ve visited (besides Russia) you found interesting? Why?

I have visited a few other countries but I think India is probably the most interesting country that I have visited.

I would like to learn the Russian language. And I am currently taking lessons.
